Chevy Cobalt or Ford Edge?

Im thinking of getting a new vehicle.
its either a Ford Edge or a Chevy cobalt...

the edge because I like small suv's.
I like to have some space.

but the cobalt gets a good mileage per gallon
I was looking at this two vehicles.

Well I like both. But maybe look at it this way which one would be safer if god forbid you got into an accident. Which one has better protection. Also maybe make an appointment to try out each car and see which one you like driving in. You know which one your most comfortable in.

Since Ford has been getting better lately with quality/reliability, I'd go with the Ford Edge because I like SUVs better then econo-boxes. However, the Cobalt is a nice car as well. It is one of the fastest accelerating compact cars out on the market right now, and they are huge steps up from the previous cavalier.

So basically, either car is good. Check out other brands too like Toyota and Honda, they have good offerings.
