My neighbor across the street just did me the favor of running into the side of my 2002 Avalanche 1500. I will need both driver side lower body pannels and a re-skin of the rear left door.
My concern is that when I have the repair done at my favorite local Chevy body shop using OE replacements the new cladding will not match the 8 year old gray that is on the rest of the faded panels.
My truck has lived outside all its life and has clocked about 110,000. The lower clads on the doors don't look bad at all, but some of the other sections are faded (like around the rear of the cab and bed covers).
Is there much issue in the color match on these pieces?
Further can the plastics all be painted with any quality or durability?
