I have just recently traded my 2002 dodge ram 2500, for a 2002 chevy Suburban LT 5.3l V8. Fully loaded.

The only downside is it has 157,xxx miles. It has no wreck history, 2 owner, highway miles, regularly maintained.
Any forseeable problems or issues I should address sooner than later? Ive checked out carcomplaints.com. the general concensus on it is the tranny may go out, and the "fantastic plastic" may ruin the engine. It runs strong, real smooth and responsive, and even has the good old chevy Oomph that we all love :)

Advice would be welcomed in any form :) also, wondering what fun upgrades and overhaul options would turn this pleasant rig into a hulking beast under the hood???

If you have the owners manual look at the recommended maintenance mileage points. Then do everything sooner. For instance if it's an automatic and they say change fluid at 100k do it at 70K. For mods try www.summitracing.com or www.jegs.com
