It will do just fine off road. Well, at least where 80% of the population would ever go off road. The front suspension (IFS) does not have a lot of suspension travel, and poor articulation. What that means is that it will be harder to keep a tire on the ground in uneven terrain (I tire in the air will not help propel the vehicle).
The front axle shafts (CV shafts) are the weakest point, and if you break one, you're walkin home (the shaft also holds the hub assembly). But don't be afraid, they will hold up to more than most people would ever dream of doing.
In snow they are great. I am very happy with the handling characteristics of my truck, but I believe that tires and vehicle weight are a larger factor than what the vehicle actually is.
