I have a 2001 chevy cavalier with a 2.4 engine when my engine is warm and the radatior fan comes on i get a trac off light and a p0171 code when the fan cycles off the trac off light goes off this all happens when you are stoped and when the car is in park at idle the trac off light does not effect the transmission at all any help would be great

no vacuum leak smoke check for leaks most of the time trac off light only comes on and at the same time the the radiator fan comes on then check for codes and there will be a p0171 code then clear code and the radiator fan turns off when i clear the code and then everything is fine till next time

what about all the other causes of the P0171, you have eliminated all of them?
The trac light is coming on because of the P0171. Since it comes on with the engine fan something is heating and failing causing the P0171.
