ok so heres my problem well not really a problem really a anoying light

so.. i was driving my car and the serpentine belt broke.. i put a new one on. and now my battery light comes on after about 10sec with the motor running... i put a new battery in the car and had the altenator checked. everything is good.. actually been driving for few months with no problem... when i look under the car by where the belt was i notice two wires hanging there and the computer under the passenger side wheel well... not sure if they were there in the first place or if maybe the belt broke and pulled the wires out... the wires arent on a plug there just two wires hanging. any suggestions would be great

so to sum it all

about 5months ago serpintine belt broke
replaced it battery light comes on after about 10sec of engine running
put in new battery and had advance auto check the altenator "all good"
since then battery has never died or had any issues but light remains on after starting car

Try having the computer codes run on the car at your local Advance. Maybe just disconnect the ground cable from the battery for a few minutes and see if that clears the light. I can't tell you about the wires you see, but it doesn't appear that they're effecting the charging system in any way. Perhaps they're just for the light?

yea thats what i think there just for the light.. im gonna see what color they are and ect tomorrow i found a ecm wiring diagram on the net.

I tried unhooking the bat for over 30min and nothing got cleared up.... no check engine light just the bat light

Where did you find the wiring diagram? I need one for the BCM on my Equinox.

made an autozone account for free... and it has repair guides with wiring diagrams
