I live outside Detroit. I want to buy an older Corvette (late 70's to mid 80's) but everyone keeps telling me I cant drive it in the winter here in Michigan. Of course none of my friends have Corvettes.
I realize that if it's just snowed 5 inches and the plows haven't been out yet I'm screwed but I want to know if I'd be ok at least 95% of the time.
A quick look on wikipedia tells me that Michigan owns more Corvettes than anywhere else. Do all these people have winter cars?
Let me know what you think, but please only answer if you are speaking from experience.
Thanks
