Hi there, i was hoping anyone with a lil auto-body know how could help me with this. i went to a junk yard to get some barn doors to put on my suburban, and the guy working there surprisingly enough was honest enough to tell me that he would sell me the doors, but the job wouldnt be as simple as i thought, he said i would have to basically redo the whole rear panels of the vehicle because the suburbans with the barn doors are shaped different than the suburbans with the tailgates. I have seen 91 suburbans with both styles of doors and they look identicle to me, seems like it would just be a matter of taking the hinges off one, and putting them on another. also, regardless of the answer, would i be able to use body parts off of previous year models, because i believe the body styles are the same for like 81-91, anybody that could shed some light on this for me would be greatly appreciated.
