No, the alarm can not be disabled.
I have 2 fixes.
First, this system can be reset. It takes about 35 minutes to reset. Your battery needs to be in good condition as your car will be on during this time without the engine running.
A stopwatch helps for the first fix.
First, turn off all accessories. Heater, radio, etc.
Turn the ignition to the on position but do not start the engine. Make sure it is in the on position, not accessories.
Leave the key in the on position for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, turn the key to the off position for 10 seconds.
Repeat: Turn the ignition to the on position but do not start the engine. Make sure it is in the on position, not accessories.
Leave the key in the on position for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, turn the key to the off position for 10 seconds.
Repeat: Turn the ignition to the on position but do not start the engine. Make sure it is in the on position, not accessories.
Leave the key in the on position for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, turn the key to the off position for 10 seconds.
After the third time the security system is completely reset.
If the problem returns there is an issue with the ignition lock. Many sealers or mechanics will want to charge big bucks to replace this lock. However this is not necessary.
The lock has some magnets inside. Sometimes some of the assembly lube from when the lock was assembled will get on these magnets and cause them to stick. This can trigger the security system.
Instead of replacing the lock have a locksmith repair the lock. A locksmith will have the skills needed to disassemble the lock and clean the assembly lube from the magnets. This will cost a fraction of what a mechanic would charge to replace the lock.
