I have a 1994 Camaro, its a v6 and sadly it has dropped a cylinder from what my many car enthused friends have told me. How ever in the past they have cost me lots of money for believing them, and they Happened to be wrong, so instead of running out and doing what they have told me (witch is along the lines of getting a new motor, or selling it) I figured i would try and ask some one who might actually know something.
So about a month ago i was driving my car and it was running fine, i parked it for the night, but the next morning when i had gone to drive to work something was vary wrong. when i started it up i could tell there was a problem, my v6 sounded like a lawn mower engine. i thought maybe it was choking on carbon (it had sat for almost a year before i had bought it i might as well add.) so i tried revving it to to clear it, no dice however. Later that day one of the so called car "know it alls" said that they had got it fixed. I have no idea what they tried i just know it only worked once. he told me that he did something to it and tried to drive it, dropped the clutch, and then restarted the car, and it had no problems running until it had been turned off again,
I guess while I'm thinking about it, a week before this i had a problems with the oil pressure. Pretty much if my rpms dropped, so did my pressure, and not just a little, ALOT. almost to the 25% range. this wouldn't happen tell after the car had warmed up. yeah i realize my car has issues, but i just finished paying it off, and really don't want to sell it for cracker jacks after what i spent on it.
so if you have any idea what happened to my car / what i need to do to fix it, please let me know. also if you could include how much the parts or what i should try would cost , it would be very helpful.
