burning REALLY rich

i have a 97 suburban. has about 230000 miles on it. it runs great on highway. at low rpms it runs rough but, i think it just needs a tune up soon.

parts replaced:
idler pully
altenator
surpentine belt
one cat
electronic ignition module
starter
heater hose fitting that goes to top of block

i dont know when it started burning rich but, it smells like straight up gas. i tried moving the distributor a little but, the idle didnt even fluctuate. im not sure if the distributor needs to be replaced. im not much of a mechanic so any help or tips would be much appreciated.

Have you tried to pull your codes? I wouldn't drive like that for long. If you really are getting that much gas it's probably ending up in the oil pan and washing your bearings.
