Hello forum, as you my have read my recent posts, I recently purchased a new to me 1994 Chevy Suburban 1/2 ton 2WD, I'm getting some of the bugs worked out from the P.Owners shorts cut fixes, I took my family out for a drive the other day when I noticed when I come to a stop at a traffic light or stop sign, when I go to take off and let off the brake pedal their is a clunk or I'm not really sure how to describe it, it just doesn't feel right when I go to take off, it's almost like maybe one of the brakes are not releasing, has anyone had this type of issue ? It's almost like maybe the rear axle is twisting upon braking, it does it even on a light braking when releasing from a stop, Thank you in advance.

I have had this happen to me on several vehicles over the years. It all has to do with the rear axle movement from stop to move again and the driveline (drive shaft) slips on the splines on the tail shaft of the transmission or transfer case if equiped. This is normal but a worn yoke on the drive shaft will make this much more pronounced.
In the past when this would happen, I would remove the drtive shaft and rotate it 180 degress and replace (rotate yoke on spline shaft). Sometimes this would fix the problem, if not....then a new yoke on front of drive shaft will most lickly cure it.

Not an expeert but I can relate to the issue very well.
