Brake Problems After Replacing Steering Bear Box

Hello

I replaced the power steering gear box on my 2004 Suburban and now have problems with the brakes. I have a soft pedal and when the brakes are engaged, there is a noise coming from the left side of the engine, away from the caliper.

I tried to bleed the front brakes and cannot get the air our of left side front brake, so I suspect I punctured one of the brake lines but I cannot find a leak or any damage.

Any suggestions appreciated.

check the condition of the rubber brake hose going to the caliper, they can collapse internally
