better American sport car corvette, viper, or shelby gt500kr?

I'll go with the ZR1.

ZR1 and the Viper are really close in performance. The ZR1 is slightly more expensive, slightly faster, and is way more livable.

The GT500KR couldn't even run with the base Vette unless you need something that seats more than 2 people.

kevin - The Viper is priced and performs between the Z06 on the low side and the ZR1 on the high side.

Corvette, Its less expensive than the Viper, and the GT 500 will never compare, because the basic design of the mustang is absolutely inferior to to Vette. If you are referring to the Corvette ZR-1, then there is no contest at all, as the ZR-1 will smoke anything shy of 400,000 dollars.

The Corvette ZR1 is the best performance bargain on the planet. For $100k or so, you would be hard pressed to find another car that that even approaches it's level of performance. Plus it's docile enough to be used as a daily driver.

The Shelby is more of a muscle car than a sports car. However it's very quick in a straight line provided it's fitted with drag radials. Sub 11 second quarter miles are attainable. However it's suspension and brakes are not world class by any stretch.

Why is the GT500kr on this list? It does not stand a chance. It competes with Chevy Camaro SS and Dodge Challenger SRT-8. It is not even close to being America's best sports car.

The Chevy Corvette ZR1 is the quickest, fastest and best handling American car under $500,000. And it just costs about $130,000.

It also set a record for fastest production car around the nurburgring, the famous 9 mile race track.

The Ford GT Supercar is more comparable to supercars like Corvette and Viper.

I don't think you guys realized yet, but the ZR1 is supercharged and makes 620 HP, while the Viper makes 600 HP stock without a supercharger.
