Went to start my 1997 Suburban Saturday morning (about 25F) and there was nothing, no interior lights, dash lights, etc. Later I went to hook up the charger thinking I'd left lights on. Opened the hood and the under hood light was also off. Hooked up the charger (was not turn on at the time) and the under hood light came on. Never turned the charger on and the she started right up. This morning (about the same temp) my wife went to start and nothing again, not home to look at it.

Well mine had no power at all this morning, I looked uner the hood at the RED battery box on the valve cover that has the positive battery wire and the wire form the ALT. to it and when I tried to open it the power came back on. All the wires look good but it was a little dark so I drove it in this morning and will take a better look at it in the sunlight. Try moving the RED Battery box on the driver side valve cover under the ALT. 02' Z71 5.3...hope this helps.

Looks like the battery terminals were a little loose as well, tightned those and we have not had the problem as of this post.
