my truck (5.7L single cab short bed 1500) has kinda bad throttle response. from 0-10 its great, but after that it goes to shit. it feels like theres almost something holding it back, or its not hooking up like it should; the engine will keep going but i get a limited amount of power to the wheels. i have to really press on the pedal to get an acceptable amount of speed when im racing someone. which i shouldnt cause of how small the truck is. my truck has mods and is in great condition which is why im wondering why it is barely any faster than my other friends' piece of shit trucks. ALSO my gas pedal is 3 times harder to press down than it should be. any help? ill message you back if you have questions..

couple things 1. really dirt air filter 2. really dirty fuel filter 3. bad spark plugs/worn wire cap rotor buttun 4. fuel pump goin bad 5.injectors or bad fuel regulater in throttle body 6. transmission slipping(automatic) 7.bad 02 sensor (stuck on rich so it gives less gas to engine)

check your filters(fuel filter if not replaced in last 50 k replace it) checks transmission fluid make sure it is pink'sh red check your plugs check fuel pressure if your gettin 18plus mpg u mite have a bad 02 sensor the truck should get like 16-17 around town the 02 sensor is stuck on rich causing it to give less gas.
