At what Temp. should my cooling fan kick on in my 1999 Chevy Malibu ?

My car has been going above the halfway point whilst idling. Also running hot in traffic. I
checked my fan and it is not running at the half way mark, I was going to change it out, but i did not know at what temp. it should kick on.
