I Have a 2001 Chevy silverado 1500 2wd. I need to check the differential fluid, but I can't get the fill plug out. I have sprayed the plug down with PB Blaster and let it soak for a few hours tried wacking it with a hammer to loosen up the rust, but it still won't budge. Should I try using an impact wrench? Maybe heat it up a little with a propane torch?
Just for clarification the fill plug is the type that a 3/8" socket fits right in.
I am rather mechanicly inclined and have a pretty good assortment of tools... so any help is appreciated. Thanks!
