Air flow direction

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to the forum. I recently purchased an '89 Sub for my son to drive as his first vehicle. Mechanically the truck is sound. The only problem now is the air selector doesn't work. Are these vacuum controlled systems or electrical? How can I go about fixing this. Defrost is kind of important in NW Iowa. Thanks.

Welcome Sub. You won't get much help here. Lost of lurkers but not many responses. Have you bought a Haynes or Chiltons manual yet? Best advice for average problems. Look for loose hoses, binding linkage etc
