ok i have a 99 chevy silverado with a 5.3L v8. when the engine is cold, it has trouble accelerating, it seems to miss out. it idles smoothly, starts fine. after the truck has warmed up, i can accelerate with no problems. i also noticed that occasionaly my rpms will rise by about 200 rpms when cruising. for example if i am going 60 mph and my rpms are 1500 they might rise to 1700 or 1800 for a while. i had the codes pulled and the only one was for a random misfire. i have replaced all coils, wires, plugs, O2 sensors and am about to change the crank position sensor. any help would be greatly appreciated

It seem that the computer is trying smooth it out. You have changed parts that have not repair the real problem. A major turn-up did not help. But good turn up never hurt and give better fuel miles per gallon. A test first would have save you some time. It is called a popping coming out the tail pipe. That will tell if a valve is sticking or a tapped is leaking down and not pumping up to lift the push rod to open the valve.
The second is is a leaking cylinder and not come up to proper PSI. Compression Test would show which cylinder is causing problem. Compressed air into the cylinder coming out the tailpipe is a valve. Likewise air coming out the air horn is a intake valve.
The change in Rpm is showing that the computer is at work to balance out the engine.
