92 Corvette Sudden Rpm Drops ?

my 92 v8 corvettes RPM DROPS suddenly after pressing the gas and releasing it quck. when i released the gas pedal the RPM Drops so quick that my car shakes a bit. i havent had tuned the car yet for the past 3 years and have a check engine light. i havent scanned it yet do u know whats my car problem? why the rpm drops after releasing the gas pedal?

normally when you release the gas the momentum of the vehicle keep the rpms up a bit until the car slows down so maybe you have a transmission issue.
