Okay we just bought the above mentioned truck. We have found that the button in the fuel bowl is bent and will notallow the correct amount of fuel to flow through. We have called all over North Florida looking for a used throttle body but it seems that no one has one..... Werid I know. Anyway it seems that my only quick choices are to by a new one at about 300 bucks or I have been given a 2 barrel (non fuel injected) carb. that hass come off of another truck with the same size motor (350 half ton). I really don't have the extra money to spare unless I have no other choice and we would like to get rid of the fuel injection anyway..... Can we use this other carb, if so how hard it that to change out.... what do we need to do? Or should I just suck it up and spend the money?

I am a moron when it comes to cars but my husband is pretty good so any help or advice would be great. Thanks.

Check your local auto salvage yards {Junk Yards}. You can usually find parts relatively cheap. especially if you go to a yard that allows you to pull your own parts. Good Luck.

you need to replace it with another throttle body, your computer has a sensor on it, and the computer tells the sensor how much fuel to deliver to the throttle body. If you replace it with a common 2 barrel carburetor, your check engine light will come on. Try doing a Google search on the throttle body , and see what you come up with.
