I put the key in and have full power and as soon as i turn it there is nothing not any starter cranking. I tried jumping it and it did nothing. Any ideas? VATS? Starter? Starter solenoid?
Thanks

check the starter solenoid, make sure its all hooked up correctly and if it is already, then you can either replace the solenoid itself ($17.00) or you can take the starter in to your local autozone, or kragens and they can bench test it to see if the starter is any good.

I would guess right off its your neutral safety switch. Your car thinks its in gear, and won't start. not a very expensive item to replace.

It could be the VATS which is a very common problem. Simply look to see if the security light is flashing with the key on.

First of all ,check the battery to make sure it is fully charged, at least 12.6 with a voltmeter.
Second, take off the battery cables to make sure they are clean, and the ground wire going to the block is clean and tight, also.
Next, you will need a test light, have someone turn the key while you check to see if you are getting juice to the smaller wire at the starter (solenoid wire) If there is voltage, it needs a solenoid or starter.
If there isn't voltage, you will have to chase it down to see where the voltage stops, possibly a neutral safety switch, or the switch hooked to the clutch to prevent accidental starting while in gear!
