I have a 88 Z24 convertible with the V6 2.8L engine that has developed a serious cutting out problem. Ever since I have owned it, it would once in a while stall while sitting at a light or just idling. It was really bad at first, but used alot of injector cleaner in gas and stuff like that, and it got better until it sometimes would not do it at all, then again sometimes it would do it a few times right in a row. Not good, but I could live with it. Then I started noticing a slight skip in the engine under acceleration. Nothing major, but you can tell when it did it. Then it fouled a plug, and ran really rough. I changed the plugs, and now when it idles it will cut out and stall every time. If I give it a lil gas and let it run at about 2K RPM, you can hear the engine rev and cut out, then catch for a second and cut out again and just keep doing it. If you try and drive it, it just spits and sputters when it cuts out and stalls when you stop. Its got new plugs, wires and fuel filter. I can't find anyone around, mechanic, garage or auto parts store that has the old OBD1 scanner to test it and see what is wrong. Im leaning on replacing the ignition module and the 3 coils next, but don't want to drop $100 on them if that's not it. Any imput would be greatly appreciated.

Why don't you try removing and cleaning your throttle body? I'll bet it's filthy.
