I have a 1984 camaro z28 with the 305 hp motor with a 4 barrel carb and a few other minor upgrades. I am replacing the stock exhaust manifold and y pipe with full length headers and two cherry bomb glasspacks drumped. My question is what would it sound like? All opinions are welcome and any advice everything is helpful

Glass packs? Well the best sound from a Chevy v8 is Magnaflow 2 1/2" with a 4x7 body 20" long. that should fit and not be too loud (so you can hear the stereo on the hwy.). If you want loudness go with a 2 1/2" supper 44 Flowmaster. However the camaro is low to the ground and hard to fit Dual 2 1/2" pipes under it. 2 1/4" pipes will flow al the air you need but will be quieter. Glass packs are the choice for tight spaces. But I think they sound nasty. not at all like a hot rod.
Long headers are a pain to put on and they are prone to manifold leaks at the head. The bolts always loosen up after it gets hot and blows the gasket out. They put too much heat next to the transmission or floor. Your engine wont see any real gain from them, unless you have changed the camshaft and intake manifold. It is better to cut the y pipe up front of the y and run duals from there. but that would mean 2 1/4" pipes.
