74 Nova windshield washer pump question

I just removed the windshield washer pump assembly from my nova. I now understand that it is a electro/mechanical pump! My question is the metal cam that turn to allow the pump action is it driven mechanically aor is it driven electrically? I have not taken the windshild wiper motor out yet. I was hoping someone knew how the cam operated before i start taking it out! This nova is starting to come together so thanks for all your help! Chins74

Do you see a worm gear coming out of the motor which engages a large circular gear that turns the cam?

Thanks Zora!! So the cam is mechanically driven off the wiper motor by gears. It sounds like i have a gear issue because the wipers work but the cam does not turn. Thanks for the help!! Chins74

well got it all apart relubed and back working! What a engineering nightmare!
