Where can i buy a valve stem for my 1996 -1999 Cavalier Alloy wheels with a 7/16 hole ? i have looked every where with no luck .

That was the first place i looked , if i needed a standard valve stem i could buy one anywhere . but this is a 7/16 hole which is smaller than standard which is like finding a unicorn . i have called every auto parts store and checked their online sites had NAPA search no luck , checked at at several tire stores they had no clue , so if you have a car that needs a 7/16 /.437 valve stem and go to get new tires and valve stems you won`t being driving home because they don`t have them . i have spent hour`s and i mean hour`s on line searching and found one place that wanted 22.00 + shipping for one rubber valve stem NOT , another had one for 1.00 dollar and a 5.00 handling fee and would not tell me what the shipping was until i bought one and was going to bill me separately probably 10.00 or more . i`m not paying 15.00 to 30.00 for a valve stem , i hate to drill the hole bigger or change wheels but will before getting ripped off , that`s why i asked for help on here hoping someone else ever had this issue.

have you tried installing the available .453 value stems?
who is the manufacturer of the wheel?

notice the the valve stem in this diagram, part number 7, is listed as being .453, you are talking about a difference of .0101, how accurately are you measuring the hole, you are talking about a 1/100 of an inch difference it doenst make sense that the valve stems available dont fit.

it is a big difference over 2mm`s .453 will not fit ,,, tried way to big ... .453 fits in a 1/2 inch hole this is a 7/16 hole ... i will try a few more local places tomorrow if not i finally located a set of 4 shipped for less than 10.00 so i will probably go that route .

my wheels are the ones on the bottom right and it does say the hole is .453 but mine is not it looks like a smaller ring was welded in for some reason and now the hole is 7/16 and believe me .453 will not fit , if you only knew how i wish it would .
