New to forum ... just bought a brand new 2022 suburban, gas engine. Has 500 miles on it. Noticed a very slight rumble/shutter when I am accelerating. Happens maybe once every time I drive it. It is very slight but noticeable. Just started doing it the other day. I don't want to take it in yet, because it happens so infrequently that I don't think they will think there is any issue. Any advice? Common chevy issue?

Not much to go on, you only hear this or you actually feel something in the steering wheel or seat?
I assume it happens in different locations?
Do you always buy gasoline at the same station?

Thanks for the quick reply, I've only filled the tank twice since I bought it, at two different locations. I guess I felt it throughout the whole car, but it was slight and lasted a couple seconds. My wife noticed it too in the passenger seat. I'd say the times it happened I was going roughly 30 miles per hour when I was accelerating. I was kind of wondering if I got some bad gas too. But considering the car is brand new and it is so intermittent, I am not sure what to do.

Unless you can repeatedly demonstrate it or a check engine light comes on mention it when you make an appointment for your first service.

This started happening with my 22 Suburban Premier around June, purchased at the end of April. It's gotten louder, more intense feeling, more frequent, and I'm now also hearing a belt-sqealing sound from the same general area (right side of engine block/chassis/wheel area. The rumbling occurs most often when I'm coasting and gently step on the gas to maintain speed (esp at 50-60 mph, backing up (like into my driveway from the street), or coasting down my street at 15-20 mph (with or without giving gentle acceleration). The dealership thinks it's the swar bar link, because they're having a hard time eliciting the sounds, but I truly do not think that's the problem. They ordered it anyways and are replacing it tomorrow morning. Any update on your situation?

I’m new as well. I bought an Suburban RST Dec ‘21 new. Just browsing for an unrelated issue but saw your post. We are new to a big truck so was switching to the Auto drive mode in Missouri winter weather. We noticed some shimmys and shakes within the first few months but no extra rumbles that I can remember. It was nothing that made us feel uncomfortable driving so just pushed through. We only used auto when roads were wet or snowy. After a few months that shimmy and shake stopped. We’re only driving about 1k miles per month. Been in 2wd all spring and summer. This gen has a new rear suspension so I ignored it for a bit.

Sorry I missed these comments. Thanks for the updates. I didn't even realize that there was an Auto setting, although I remember seeing that on the dashboard screen. Lately, I really haven't experienced it much. It seems to kind of come and go. I might mention it at the first service, but I really can't replicate it with any consistency. To the gentleman with the repair, did it help?

2023 Chevy Suburban LS here (no fancy magnetic ride control or adaptive air ride suspension). I have almost the same symptoms as described by @cmo12951. I will describe it as a vibration or mild to moderate shudder that occurs around 20 to 25 mph and again between about 45 and 55 mph. I can be on a glass smooth newly paved road and get it. It’s persistent as well—when driving st these speeds it’s constant. It’s noticeable enough that if I have a bag in the passenger seat, I can see it shaking back-and-forth and I can feel it up my back through the seat like the seat is vibrating forward and back.

It’s strongest when I gently touch the throttle to accelerate or let off the throttle. When decelerating from a higher speed to zero say for a stoplight or stop sign, as the vehicle downshifts around 25 mph. I get a pretty good shudder out of it. 4000 miles right now, have had the car for two months, I have a service appointment on Monday for another issue and will bring this up. I have the same concern, though, that if I don’t have a check engine light or an darned engine fire, the technician is just gonna tell me it’s road bumps. I know the difference; I had an 09 suburban and sold it at almost 300,000 miles.

What did you learn? I am having the same issue

My 2015 LTZ (188,000 miles) is having same issue…being inspected at Meineke…checking cv joints, motor mounts, drive axel, transfer case…basically looking at everything that could cause this rumble/vibration…more to follow…

Early diagnosis looks like transmission issue…some kind of component in that system instead of drive system…
