Greetings.
I have a 2020 Silverado Custom, and I am looking to install running boards. I have seen several videos on YouTube on how to install them, but they all seem to show that the frame rails with plastic plugs in threaded holes that are conveniently available. I looked under my truck, and guess what? No conveniently threaded holes on the side of the rails, but there are threaded holes on the bottom. The side of the frame rails have large holes (about 3/4") with no threads.
Has anybody done an install like this with the lack of threaded holes on the sides of the frame rails? Do I have to drill new holes, or is there some gizmo I can get to use those 3/4" holes to mount the running board brackets?
