2015 Silverado AC trouble

2015 Silverado 5.3L 2wd 75k miles, purchased new. AC wouldn’t cool due to leak in system. Had area shop replace ac condenser due to broken weld. Now the ac only works in cooler temps and the radiator fan is roaring like a jet engine ready for take off. Now they say the compressor needs replaced. Am I getting taken for a ride?

Get a second opinion from a shop. Impossible over the internet to determine what is wrong with your AC.
