2012 malibu - throttle response

Anyone else have a problem with the throttle response? I'll be sitting at a stop sign, take my foot off the brake, press the gas, and it hesitates a bit, then goes. This has led me to not be as "risky" when pulling out onto a road when a car is coming, in fear of it not going right away and getting t-boned.
