ok folks Ive done a lot of research , along with parts swapping & dealership bs without any luck so now im hear. I have a 2011 Silverado 4x4 1500 ltz 5.3l flex fuel with 150k on clock about 2 weeks ago after getting fuel it started having a random misfire between 18-2100 rpms. ran some seafoam thru it and fresh fuel thinking it would fix it. no luck took it to a local mechanic I know and he said it showed misfire cylinder 8. he recommend spark plugs and wires. changed them no luck. took it to the dealer ship and they said with out a code there wasn't much they could do.( bs) so after reading quite abit about the dreaded AFM problems it made me thinki was having the same issue. my question is its not on the normal cylinders 2&7 and it dosent do it if im in manual mode accelerating, its only in od at normal speeds. its never had any oil consumption issues & rarely had a lifter tap. truck is a one owner besides me and the old gentleman before me never had any issues. im actually at a loss on what next. could it be a clogged injector? thanks I know there are a lot of threads on this issue but they seam to be a little different as far as problems leading up to.

do you currently have a check engine light on and if so what is the code?
autozone and other parts stores do free code checks.
