2010 Suburban 1500 4WD

I inherited this 2010 Suburban and the handling is a bit goosey....40,000 miles, so i'm wondering if I need shocks/struts.....and how do I determine that? Also, is it a job I can do myself or should I trust the experts?

it would be unusal but not impossible that at 40K the vehicle needs shocks or struts. Are the tires wearing unevenly, if so start with an alignment. When they do the alignment they should also be checking all steering and suspension components for wear.
The drivers side door post has a label with the cold tire pressure. Do you have the tires set for the cold pressure listed on the label?
