Hello, new to this forum and would appreciate any help. I'm looking at putting 2016 LTZ 2500 wheels on my 09 2500 suburban. I know that my 09 is 8X6.50 and the wheels on the 16 are 8X180. My question is this can I just get a set of Wheel adapters that go from 8X6.50 to 8X180 and bolt them on? Is there any difference in the suspension, Axels, Brakes etc that would prohibit this? any feedback or help in this would be great. Thanks the ZOO KPR

the numbers you are listing dont make much sense, the 2009 is 8x6.50 and the 2016 is 8x180
the 16" wheel on the 2009 has a bolt pattern of 8-165 and maybe 9" wide
the smallest wheel on the 2016 is 17"
the 17" wheel on the 2016 has a bolt pattern of 6-139 and maybe 8" wide
try to find out what wheels on both vehicles are and then try a company such as below to see if they make an adaptor

Zora, I appreciate the reply. Yes my numbers were wrong looking to put 20 inch wheel from a 16 Silverado 2500 LTZ 8X180 bolt pattern. My 2009 Suburban 2500 has a bolt pattern of 8X6.5 or 8X165. There are many manufactures that make this adapter. My question is is there any changes to the suspension, axel or brakes that would not allow this change out? I know that the wheel will sit out further and the truck may have to be lifted. Thanks for your help

you are increasing the wheel diameter by 4" but make no mention of what you intend to do tire wise? Based on what size tire you choose will determine whether you have to make changes to the ride height. The brakes and axle will not be effected. You should work with a gualified tire shop in making your decisions.
The OEM 2016 wheels I'm looking at have the OEM tires with them. They are LT265/60/20. I hope that helps. My OEM wheels are actually 17s so the radius will only increase 3 inches. Once again thanks for your input. Very helpful.

the math 265x.6=159mm
159mm/25.4=6.26"
(6.26x2)+20=32.52" diameter
265x.7=185.5mm
185mm/25.4=7.3"
(7.3x2)+17=31.6
So the new set would be less than an inch taller which means nothing has to be done, speedometer might be off by a small amount.
