Hello everyone. I"m new to the forum and I have a question.

I am considering purchasing a 2008 LTZ Subruban that has a bit of miles on it...141000 to be precise. I've driven it and it seems to drive well with minor cosmetic issues inside and out. I guess my question is, would this be a good buy or should I leave this alone? I typically drive my work vehicle so this would be a daily commute vehicle for my wife. Her current vehicle is a 2003 Envoy with less than 80K miles! I'm just curious what some folks opinions are about this. The price is within my range and this thing has everything but 4wd (which I do not need).

Thanks in advance for your input.

I would check sites like www.edmunds.com and www.nada.com for the correct market value for a vehicle with that high milgeage. Why would you buy a vehicle with 61,000 more miles than your current one?

Funny thing is, nada and edmunds have it valued at significantly different prices. I'm just wondering about the reliability factor with that many miles. It's a one owner vehicle and I think it's a safe assumption that the mileage is probably due to a lot of highway commuting. I've owned gm vehicles exclusively for the last 15 years. Never had any significant issues with any of them either.

Are service records available including frequency of oil changes?

Try kbb.com. That's Kelley Blue Book. You should get a good idea from that. They'll give you suggested private party, retail or trade in values.
