2008 suburban Oil Consumption

Hello, I need some advise as I have a 2008 Suburban with 71,000 miles and I have noticed that it seems to be usuing a quart of oil about every 1000 miles. No leaks and the engine seems to run fine with no smoking. Has anyone else expeirenced this with their suburban and if so what did you do to correct problem?

you have parked the vehicle overnight on a clean surface and find no oil on the ground? you have checked your PCV system? what weight oil are you using? Is your engine temperature running hotter or colder than normal?
