Oddly enough I used to own an 08 Sentra S & I traded it in for a 2010 Malibu LTZ. I chose the Malibu b/c I did want a bigger car & a better ride. I also wanted a V6. I got the Sentra right before the down fall of the U.S. economy & it served me well for 2 yrs. But it seemed like it always felt like a rental car. Drove like one too. The radio was basic & sounded bland w/ no distictive high end frequencies or stereo seperation. That was something the Malibu LTZ does all too well. It was a hard decision b/c the Altima V6 was my #2 choice. But I couldn't get the financial numbers to line up where I wanted them to be. I've bought n' sold plenty of cars in my day & I knew what I wanted in a deal. There were enough rebates & incentives on the Chevy to push me into it. Plus I liked the interior leather better than the Altima's. So it's gonna be up to you in what you feel comfy in. The Sentra will last a long time I assure you. But when people think Chevy, they think poor quality & unreliability. That is so yesterday's thinking. Chevy has intentionally slowed down the manufacturing process to give employees enough time to assemble the cars correctly. Lots of upgrades were made during the bankruptcy down time at the factory. So I guess you can say I recommend the Malibu. The 08 was the 1st yr & if you can get a V6 model, do it. They are so much better at hurling that car down the road.
