I am changing the brake pads on my 2008 Chevy Silverado and when I put the new pads in the clips they are very tight. I cleaned the clips thoroughly and to get the pads in I have to literally take a hammer and tap them in place until they are against the rotor. I have changed the brakes on my other cars and never have experienced this. I thought the pads had to have a little movement so they would slide on clips. Please let me know if anyone else is experiencing this with their chevy truck.

like don said aftermarket can cause problems, id go stock GM unless you want to overhaul with a complete aftermarket system FOR your 08 Killerado (Silverado)
