I have a question. I bought an 08 Chevy Cobalt, and the guy I bought it from had replaced the driver's side door due to damage. The door he used came with a key and there was a keyless entry remote attached to it.
My question is whether or not the remote can be programed to work with my vehicle.
The remote has the remote start function, but my car does not. Can it still be programmed so the other 4 buttons work? I called the dealership and they said they don't know, but they would try if I bring it in. The dealership is in another town though, so I don't want to drive out there if it won't work.
The remote I have is PN: 22733524
Any help would be appreciated.
