2007 Chevy Malibu not acting like a 4 cylinder?

today we were at the highway and we accelerated from 0 to 60 and it like it like flew! the time was 5.9 Seconds with a stopwatch! i was shocked! because my Malibu is a 4 cylinder not v6 why is this? is it a different engine? turbo charged or something Please only serious answers.
