I'm looking to buy my first car right now and found this one on the used car lots I've been looking through.
2007 Chevy Cobalt LS w/ manual everything (trans, windows/locks,etc)
32k miles
$7500
Drive train warranty until 5 years/100k miles (expires Oct. 2012)
Everything is good according to CarFax. It had one owner (local) and it seems to have been well maintained (oil/lube every 3000 miles/3months, tires replaced 09/09 at 27k miles, shock absorbers replaced 04/10 at 30k miles). I would rate it as very good condition -- the only problem I can find is the bumper was a bit scratched. No biggy.
I'm not picky at all about things like lots of plastic or looks. I'm mostly concerned about fuel economy and reliability.
Would the Cobalt make a good first car based on the criteria?
