...me another, what is going on? okay just got it days agao used, little less then 40,000 miles, when I left the dealer I had guessing 3/4 of a tank, the dealer was 39 miles home and I went to work friday and a couple of places for a total of 50 miles. Now remember this car is suppose to get 29mpg. Any way my fuel range kept saying I had 180miles left late yesterday(friday) and 112 miles left this morning on my 12 miles tops trip home. Why the big gaps . Then the actual fuel guage(not the computer range screen) was at I guess 1/8 tank and less then 10 on my ride home it was on E and I was getting a message saying fuel range low
I put in5 dollars of gas (2 gallons and some change) and it (fuel gauge) when back up then 5 mins down the rode it dropped a couple of notches, and 10 minutes later by the time I reached home it was up again to when I first left the gas station.

It is the censor to the gas tank and the fuel guage that is faulty? It's really annoying and who wants to drive around not sure of home much gas then have left, because I'm not sure if the system is just showing me the wrong thing of if the car is really almost empty.

Sorry for the long confusing question I mean with a car like this a full tank should last me almost a full week if I go work and back which is only 28 miles total per day, not run out of gas in less then two days when it started with almost a full tank
