Hey!
I'm new to the forum, but everyone has put in some GREAT information. I am currently working on my 2004/2005 Chevy Malibu Classic. yes I put 2004/2005 because it was assembled in October of 04 and I have parts of an 05 and an 04. It has been really irritating fixing somethings. Regardless, I replaced the parking break (I DC the battery first) and when I put everything back together, it wasn't starting. After shooting some carb cleaner in my intake and it starting for 2 seconds, I know I have spark. So I tested a lot of the wires, and I messed with the fuses and everything is looking good so far. I replaced the fuel pump but nothing so far, it doesn't even turn on.
I can hear the relay turn on when I turn the key on, but I have tried to test wires by the fuel pump and I get nothing except the relay clicks on. Does anyone have any suggestions? I plan to test the old pump with a 12 volt battery tonight to see if it kicks on, if it does I know I have a power problem somewhere. Thank you!
