hello car people i have a question, its a chevy malibu and when turning slighty or racking the steering wheel back and forth it puts out a little clicking/ tapping noise and you can feel it a little bit too, is this the rack pinion, i got under the car and had someone turn the wheel and it sounds like its coming from it and feels like it too when i touch it while its making noise. i did the autozone trouble shoot and it says the cv half shaft but i think its the rack and pinion. has this happend to one of you? thanks. please only serious people answer i dont want smart remarks or take it to a shop thanks
i do my own repairs its cheaper!

thanks smart guy....... your not to funny.
first guy that answerd has no clue about cars why bother answering your wasting time and space.

it may be the steering column. I have an 04 and it has had to be replaced 3 times in under 100,000. I think it has something to due with the fact it has electronic power stering instead of a pump. Just another part you may consider. good luck
