2005 Chevy Cobalt keyless remote will not lock or unlock.?

I have changed the batteries in both remotes I have. The truck will still open with the remote but the doors will not lock or unlock. Any ideas on why or maybe how to fix it?

Take the transmitter to the chevy parts counter they can test the fob and see if the fob's buttons are working. I have seen a few bad buttons. If they work try re-sequencing the transmitter by standing at the door and holding the lock/unlock button for 10 seconds. If that fails have it reprogrammed.
