Hello,
I have a 2004 Suburban Z71, that runs great, I’ve kept the mx up to date, doing most of it myself. It has many new/repurposed parts. I’d hate for it to have reached the end of its life with 224,000 miles on it.
My instrument cluster displays the check engine, ABS, check 4WD, and the voltage, fuel and temperature gauges work intermittently. The chime will sometimes ding for 10 minutes or longer.
I tried a different instrument cluster, same result. I replaced the ECM, no bueno. New starter switch, battery and alternator. I removed the trailer brake controller, and checked the wiring to the radio. Nothing new was added recently. It seemed to start with a few random glitches, and has slowly gotten worse over the last 5 months. No trouble codes.
What else can I try? Is she done for? It was a good run, we had some good times.
