2004 Silverado A/C unit blows hot air.

My 2004 Silverado started doing this about a month ago. The A/C unit switches from cold air to hot air without the controls being changed.
This occurs only on the driver side (passenger side remains cold). I have to stop, turn off the truck, and restart to get the A/C to reset to cold.
Has anyone else out there had this to happen?

my 04 avalanch did that once and a while, and sometimes it would turn on the damn heated seats too. Im not much of tech but a friend of mine told me to find the fuse for the A/C unit, unplug it and then plug it back in after a few mins. did the trick for me hasnt happened since then. hope this helps

dr side temp door actuator.. The 2004 were horible for that!
