I have a 2004 Chevy Surburban. I just removed the insturment cluster to send it off to get rebuilt. I am using my GPS for the speedo. I tried to use the heat today and found out that air is not coming out of the defroster or the upper vents. It comes out at the floor though. Can any one give me an idea if it is related to the cluster being out or is this another problem and how do I fix it or what do I check to see if anything is disconnected.

I'm having the same problem I found some good vidioes on youtube on this subject. It was the blend door actuator. It cost around $40.00 at any parts store. It is located near the acellerator near trans hump. Hope this helps
:)

i also encountered this issue when i was working for the dealer a year ago.this particular truck it wound up being the vent covers under the headliner between the roof bottom and the top of the headliner.with the heat the glue lets go and the cover between the vent and the headliner lifts up and all the air blows under the headliner.i had to remove the headliner and reglue the vent back covers back on and let them dry for 12 hours to be safe and then reinstalled the headliner and that fixed it.if the last post doesn't help maybe this will.
