2004 Chevy Silverado's Hood wont open?

My stupid brother put the keys on top of the engine, while I had the hood open. Then I closed it, and my brother had left the keys inside. Pluss, he locked the cars doors, so I can't open the hood again. And, I just got the car, so I don't have a spear key. How can I open the hood? Anybody who has opened it from the latch, and succeeded, can you give the way to do it?

The best thing to do, so you don't tear it up, is go to the dealership with the VIN and proof of ownership (ie insurance card) and have them cut a new key. I think they cost $10.00 or so.

The other option would be to call a locksmith, but that will probably cost $100.00 or so.
