I searched around the internet a bit, but can't seem to find a decent answer. I replaced my radiator (2003 Suburban 2500, 6.0L, quadrasteer), and all went well. The oil cooler lines are tight. But when I install the transmission cooler lines, the nut is tight, but the line itself doesn't seem tight, and I'm able to wiggle the line a little bit, where the oil lines don't move at all. I did notice that the lines don't seem to be intended for a compression fit, like the oil cooler lines, but I just wanted to confirm that I installed them correctly? Any comments/suggestions/concerns? Thanks

is there any paint or other substance in the fittings on the new radiator that are preventing the line to properly seat in the fitting? if you start it does the line leak? are you using a 5 sided wrench to fully tighten the line?

Did you cross thread them? Zora's wrench will help prevent rounding the nut.

the tranny cooler line looks like this, with the o-ring at the rear of the flange:

Haven't noticed it leaking yet...

The radiator is a new all aluminum one, and it came with new fittings. No paint anywhere, and the fittings are snug, but the tranny line inside those fittings are a little loose to the touch. I'll investigate further tonight...

Sounds like the aftermarket radiator manufacturer didn't stay close enough on their OEM specs when they built the part.

I've looked at a few other trucks of friends, and asked a few mechanics, and the consensus is that it is normal. I'll try to upload a video later...
